"Respect your Father and Mother so that you may live in the land that I am going to give you." Exodus 12:20
A great number of children and their families joined members of our Parish Community to thank God for our Mothers. Father John celebrated Mass for us on the fourth Sunday in Lent.
A Year 5 pupil read the Introduction to our Mass and some children from Reception shared with us what made their mummy so special.
The children led the readings, sang the Responsorial Psalm, acted out the Gospel which was the story of the Prodigal Son brought the gifts to the altar in the Offertory Procession, altar served and supported the singing.
Before the Final Hymn all the children from our school came forward to sing our special song of thanks for Mothers, before receiving bunches of daffodils to present to their Mothers and other parishioners.
Thank you to Mrs Brown one of our parents for buying and arranging the daffodils for us.
