'Respect your father and mother, so that you may live a long time in the land that I am giving to you.'
Many children and their families joined members of our parish community in the Church to thank God for our Mothers. Father John celebrated the Mass for us.
The children led the Readings, acting out the First Reading when Samuel was sent by God to Jesse to anoint one of his sons as the next King of Israel and the Gospel which was the story of Blind Bartimaeus. Courtney sang beautifully the Responsorial Psalm and other children took part in the Offertory, Singing and Altar Serving.
Before the final hymn, all the children came forward to sing our special song of thanks for Mothers, before receiving bunches of daffodils to present to their Mothers and other parishioners.
