22 March 2009
Hundreds of children and their families joined other members of the parish community to celebrate a special Mass of thanksgiving for our mothers. The children led the readings, offertory, altar serving and singing.
Before the final blessing, all the children were invited to come forward to sing a special song of thanks for mothers, before receiving bunches of daffodils to present to their mothers and other parishioners.
The visiting priest Fr. Martin Poulsom who celebrated the Mass, thanked the children for leading the celebration so well and their wonderful and enthusiastic singing. He highlighted the fact that the children were shining examples of faith.
Here are some photographs from the celebration.
