St Thomas More Remembers

9 and 11 November 2013

'Creator of all the living we entrust to your gentle care all those we love who have gone before us.'

In the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday, special Remembrance Prayer Cards were made by all the children to pray for those men and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

The children led the readings, prayers and the singing at a special Mass in Church on Saturday 9th November 2013. Many of our families came to pray with us.

'We come together today to remember the men and women who died in the wars so we can live in peace. We ask God to show us how we can spread peace in our own country, in our school, in our homes, and in ourselves.'

On the 11th of November at 11.00am all members of the school community came together to keep the two minute silence. The children in Year 6 set up the prayer focus in the school hall.
