Stations of the Cross

April 2014

As part of our Lenten Preparation, pupils in Year 5, invited their family and peers to pray the Stations of the Cross with them.

Pupils worked hard in small groups to research, plan and reflect on their station before creating their own artwork and prayers to represent their station.

It was a very prayerful and reverent occasion which allowed the children to further develop their understanding of the Stations, they were able to empathise with the thoughts and feelings of all those involved; this enabled them to deepen their faith.

Parents commented that pupils were respectful and that the readings, prayers, drama and music were performed in a prayerful way.
