Year 3 Visit to Cadbury World

9 December 2016

The children enjoyed visiting Cadbury World as part of their topic on Scrumdiddlyumptious!

First they had the opportunity to explore the Aztec Jungle to discover the origins of the cocoa bean deep in the ancient tropical rainforest. Then they learnt more about where the Cadbury business began and how they developed the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar through an interactive show. We then went on a Cadabra ride, which was a magical journey full of surprises.

Next we went to a interactive talk in the George Cadbury Room to learn more about the origins of the cocoa bean from Ghana and the chocolate making processes used today in the factory.

Finally after lunch we went on the 4D Chocolate Adventure ride where the children were whisked away into a bowl of liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk and a Crunchie rollercoaster. The children fully enjoyed this ride and were very excited by the experience.

We then went to watch the chocolatiers work their magic as they demonstrated traditional chocolate making skills while eating a delicious pot of warm liquid Dairy Milk. The children then went through to the shop where they could spend their money.

It was a very informative and wonderful day that was enjoyed by all the children and adults.
