Mrs Shakespeare arranged for the Choir to sing at the Gardener's World Exhibition at the NEC. On arrival we went to the Live Theatre where we listened to Skinny Jean Gardener giving us many useful tips that we can use back in our school garden and in our gardens at home.
One of our pupils was lucky enough to go on stage with Skinny Jean and had to walk around the arena with a plant pot on his head and later on, answer lots of questions related to gardening. We were lucky enough to win a Veg Trug which we are eagerly awaiting for.
After lunch we all had time to visit the different stands where we saw many wonderful creations. We even had time to visit the donkey sanctuary.
At 2.00pm we climbed onto a small hill where we entertained all the visitors to the exhibition who clearly enjoyed our repertoire of songs; all connected to growing, including 'I am a Seed in a Garden' and 'Inch by Inch Row by Row.'
Throughout the day and following our return to school we received many positive comments, not only about the beautiful singing but the children's impeccable behaviour.
