Classes who were covering dinosaurs as part of their topics were lucky enough to take part in a dinosaur workshop.
An expert from a museum specializing in all things pre-historic set up in our hall, bringing with him a Tyrannosaurus rex skull, Triceratops bones we could touch and many other teeth and bones for us to explore. Pupils had the opportunity to study replica and genuine dinosaur fossils at close quarters.
We were fascinated by the huge Tyrannosaurus rex footprint which was one of only two in the world! The size of the bones from a Triceratops showed us how immense these creatures were.
The children had a memorable experience.
