12 March 2013
On Tuesday 12th March, some children from Reception and Key Stage 1 came with a family member for a special Easter Craft Workshop. They made beautiful Easter baskets and cards for their family.
After a brief explanation of what to do, everyone got to work straight away. First, they made the basket itself out of gold card. With the help of their parents, the children finished this part quite quickly.
Next, it was time to decorate them. There were lots of little bits and pieces to use, such as pompoms, eggs and fluffy chicks. The children filled their baskets up with all sorts of things.
After these works of art were finished, the children had a photo taken with their family member. They were all given some colourful chocolate eggs to put in the basket - they looked delicious!
Before the end of the workshop, there were cards to be made! The children decorated them with a range of bright Easter stickers and wrote messages inside to their family, wishing them a happy Easter.
Everyone really enjoyed the workshop. They had a great time sticking, decorating, being creative and artistic. The results were amazing.
