Jesus took a piece of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, and gave it to them saying, 'This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.' Luke 22:19
On Saturday 6th June, the children in Year 3 from our school received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Fr John was the main celebrant.
Family and friends joined members of the school and parish community to celebrate this joyous occasion in St Thomas More Church. Mass began with a candle lit procession.
The Liturgy of the Word was proclaimed clearly and confidently, culminating with the Gospel on this most appropriate of all feast days.
The children responded during the Mass with conviction, as well as singing their hearts out, praising God.
