In November 2006 the whole school worked hard to produce our very own CD.
Each class learnt and practised their own track to perform. From Reception's 'Make A Face', through to Year 2's 'Prehistoric Animal Brigade', and Year 4's rap to Year 6's rendition of 'True Colours'. The children sang beautifully and were really proud of their efforts.
But not only did the children perform on our CD. The staff did too! Alongside a performance of our school hymn 'Gathered' and favourites 'This Little Light Of Mine' and 'Be Bold', the staff bravely sang the Beatles classic 'With A Little Help From My Friends'.
Our school hall was turned into a recording studio for the day and we all had a little taster of what it must be like to be McFly or the Sugarbabes.
We ran a competition in school to design a cover for our CD. The winning cover and title was 'Happy Faces, Happy Voices'. And that's exactly what we saw and heard in school all day.
Our CD was sold to parents, family and friends, who snapped up the chance to have a copy of our debut performances.
