Harvest Mass

5 October 2016

"Celebrate the harvest festival to honour the Lord your God, be joyful in the Lord's presence." Deuteronomy 16:10-11

On Wednesday 5th October 2016 Year 2M led our Harvest Mass. At the start of the Mass, Year 5 proudly processed into Church with their parents and holding their amazing Gardens of Eden. They made them with great effort the week before the Mass in their RE Inspire Workshop.

As they brought their lovely gardens to the altar we all sang 'Laudate Sii' and at the end of the hymn Fr John blessed the gardens, the children and their parents. All the children and parents were very generous with their donations of food for all the homeless people in Birmingham. Kitty O'Reilly and Sister Sabina were thanked by Father John for their generosity of looking after people in need.

Unfortunately Sister Sabina was not able to join us for this special Mass so Kitty accepted the food that we donated and said that it would be gratefully received.
