Resurrection Rock

4 and 6 April 2017

He is not here; He has risen. Luke 24:6

The children in Phase 3 and 4 performed their Easter Production 'Resurrection Rock' on the evening of April 5th and the afternoon of the 6th April to appreciative audiences. The production provided a thought provoking and fitting preparation for Easter.

Through 'Resurrection Rock' the children were able to share the Easter story with everyone. The story began with Jesus and His disciples entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the joy and happiness was heard in the beautiful singing. We moved on to the Chief Priests and Pharisees plotting to end Jesus' growing popularity, this was made easier for them through Judas. This was followed by the Last Supper through to Judas betraying Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus' conviction and crucifixion and finally Jesus rising again on Easter Sunday.

The performance was a delight to watch, the children had put a great deal of work into it, in such a short time, as had the staff working with them. They all acted and sang beautifully. Our thanks go to Sister Susan for accompanying the children and to our flautist, Ellie-Mae. Thank you to al of those who have helped to prepare the costumes and thank you to all of the families for their encouragement and support.

Everyone has worked very hard to make the production such a great success. We had a wonderful evening and afternoon performed with passion and professionalism. Well done Phase 3-4.
