Rosary Making Workshop

18 October 2016

"Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you"

In the month of October dedicated to the Holy Rosary a group of children from Years 3 and 4 came together after school on the 18th October 2016 to make their own Rosaries.

We had lots of coloured beads, in different shades to choose from red, green, pink, blue, purple, yellow. We had to carefully count them out, 53 for the Hail Marys, six Our Father’s and Glory Be’s and one Creed.

We also made boxes to keep our Rosary beads in, so we can keep them safe in our drawers at school and use them at lunchtime when we go to the Prayer Garden to pray the Rosary.

As we pray the Rosary using our beads, we think of all the sick or lonely people in the world and ask Mary our Mother to be with them and comfort them.

Other children have seen us praying with our beautiful Rosary beads and have asked us to show them how to make them so they can join us in saying the Rosary.

Thanks to this workshop run by Miss Ryan we have started our own Rosary Group.
