Science

Science Statement of Intent

Scientific study provides our pupils with the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. Through building up a body of key foundational knowledge, processes and concepts, pupils should be encouraging to recognise the power of rational explanation and develop a sense of excitement and curiosity about natural phenomena. They should be encouraged to understand how science can  explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave, and analyse causes. Pupils' will develop a strong scientific and cultural capital. Through carefully planned STEAM opportunities, children will be able to make links across the curriculum.
