21 June 2013
Our Feast Day celebrations began with the whole school community including governors and parishioners joining us for a special Mass in our Church in honour of our Patron Saint. Staff and pupils shared the important events in the life of St Thomas More.
Back in school, each class spent the remainder of the morning learning about a different aspect of St Thomas More's life. We all had the honour of looking at the magnificent painting of our Patron Saint that has been commissioned for the school's 60th anniversary . This portrait was produced by some of our talented Year 5 pupils just using charcoal under the direction of the acclaimed artist Oliver Jones.
We enjoyed a celebration picnic lunch in our dining studio. During the day each class had the opportunity to learn some new fun skills from Monty who was invited into school by the Year 6 children.
A great day to remember for us all.
