10 November 2012
'Creator of all the living we entrust to your gentle care all those we love who have gone before us.'
In the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday the children prayed for the men and women in our armed forces. Special Remembrance Prayer Booklets made by the children and gifts of sweets were sent to the Star and Garter Nursing Home in Solihull, The Rehabilitation Centre in Headley Court and the Military Ward in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The children led the readings, prayers and the singing at a special Mass in Church on Saturday 10th November 2012. Many of our families came to pray with us.
'We come together today to remember the men and women who died in the wars so we can live in peace. We ask God to show us how we can spread peace in our own country, in our school, in our homes, and in ourselves.'
