23 May 2018
On Wednesday 23rd May Year 1 had a fantastic visit to The National Space Centre in Leicester.
When we arrived at the Space Centre we went straight to the planetarium and watched a film about astronauts. We then explored the rest of the space centre and learnt lots of interesting things about space. We saw rockets and space suits and we watched a video about the first moon landing.
Then we found some interactive games that we could play - we could even find out if we would get space-sick if we went into space! We dressed up in costumes to do with space and read lots of information about space travel.
Finally we had a picture taken in front of a big globe and stopped for some lunch before heading back to school having had an amazing day!
