27 April 2017
"Do not be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, he has been raised from the dead just as he said." Matthew 28:3
On the 27th April the children of Year 2 enjoyed creating an Easter Garden with a member of their family.
We began our workshop with a PowerPoint which was led by the children. They explained features that would be included in an Easter Garden.
An Easter Garden is a traditional way of remembering what happened on Good Friday. There are usually three crosses for the three who were crucified and a tomb with a round door, the place where the stone was rolled away when the women came looking for Jesus' body.
Our Easter Garden will be a lovely reminder of the new life of spring and of the new life we believe God gave Jesus and Jesus gives us today.
