"Do not be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, he has been raised from the dead just as he said." Matthew 28:3
On Friday 17th April all of the Year 2 children participated in an RE Inspire Workshop during this special Easter Season. The children worked with a family member to make a traditional Easter Garden.
First, the children brought in an empty shoe box and after looking at some Easter Gardens made in previous years, began to design their own.
Many of the children chose to paint their backgrounds whilst others used felt and tissue paper to create the grass and sky. They then created their gardens using a variety of materials. It was important for the children to include three crosses and an empty tomb with a entrance and signs of new life to represent the most important event in the church.
All of the children really enjoyed creating an Easter garden with an adult.
"It was great fun. An excellent activity to complete with my child."
"It was a lovely experience to work closely with my child to make an Easter Garden."
"I enjoyed making my Easter Garden with my Daddy."
