"Then the Lord planted a garden in Eden, in the East. He made all kinds of beautiful tress grow there and produce good fruit."
Year 5 took part in an inspire workshop based on their RE learning which this term is about God's wonderful creation.
The children worked with their parents or family members to create their own versions of the Garden of Eden. Children and adults alike allowed their imagination to flow as they created some amazing models drawing on the world around them for their inspiration.
This was a wonderful opportunity for children and their families to work together and the feedback from both pupils and families shows that this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
"Very well organised workshop. Really enjoyed it." (Parent)
"I really enjoy these workshops as it is interesting to see how the children create their ideas." (Parent)
"I loved having my Mom in school helping me." (Year 5 child)
"I had a good time making my garden with my Mom." (Year 5 child
Following the workshop the pupils had the opportunity to have their gardens blessed at the Harvest Mass on the Feast of St Francis.
