18 March 2011
On Friday 18th March Years 1 and 2 visited the farm at Sheldon Country Park as part of their work on Plants and Animals.
On the way there, children looked out for signs of Spring and there was plenty to see with daffodils and crocuses just coming into flower and birds busily building their nests.
On arrival Gavin made us feel very welcome and showed us all the animals on the farm. Some children enjoyed feeding the chickens and cows whilst others got to see the cows being milked. We felt very lucky, especially as the sun was shining brightly and we got a chance to play on the new play area.
Lots of fun was had by all!
