Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
In 2012 the Government introduced a new funding stream into schools called the Pupil Premium. This funding is given to schools based upon the number of pupils, in school, who are eligible to claim Free School Meals (FSM). This funding is allocated to initiatives in school which are aimed at maximising a child's potential, both academically and socially.
In September 2012, the Government increased the funding to include all children, in a school, who would have been eligible for FSM within the last six years.
If your child does not receive Free School Meals, but you think you may be eligible because of your family's income level, please contact the school office (in confidence) to request an application form. Even if you do not wish them to have the free meal, this would mean the school could claim additional Pupil Premium funding that may be used to support your child in school.
