School Menu and Free School Meals

There are two types of Free School Meals;

Universal Free Meals

All children in Reception up to and including Year 2 automatically receive a free school meal each day at lunchtime. This government initiative is not income based. Parents are able to send their children to school with a packed lunch from home if they/the child/ren prefer.

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of pupils of all abilities. Funding can be used for a wide variety of resources in school ranging from equipment, books and visitors. Funding can also be used to provide extra support staff such as Teaching Assistants. Children, families and schools benefit from more or better resources, such as the above, that increase the attainment and enjoyment of children at school.

Children eligible for Pupil Premium will also receive Free School Meals for the duration of their eligibility. Please note! All children in years Reception - 2 have access to a free school meal every day under Government legislation, regardless of household income. This doesn't mean you are already eligible, or cant apply for, Pupil Premium! Parents are strongly encouraged to apply for Pupil Premium at: Www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/birmingham or call or visit the school office. More information regarding Pupil Premium including eligibility, how it is spent and last year’s results can be found by searching ‘what is Pupil Premium’ or on the Pupil Premium tab.
