Assemblies:
Monday- Mission Assembly
Led by Mr McLoughlin, Mission Assemblies are where children listen to the Sunday Gospel reading and have its meaning and importance shared.
Tuesday- Key Stage 2 Assembly
Often led by Phase Leaders, the Key Stage assemblies are an opportunity to focus on a topic the children must be aware of.
Thursday- Key Stage 1 Assembly
Again, a chance for Phase Leaders to discuss areas of school life that are relevant for the younger pupils.
Friday-God's Gifts Assembly
Staff nominate children for a 'Special Mention' where pupils are given a badge in recognition of their efforts in the previous week. Parents are now welcome to this celebration.
Once a week, classes partake in collective worship and share a prayer service. Children will also attend Mass on a Wednesday, with one year group in attendance. On Feast Days, whole school celebreates Mass.
Morning learning
Maths and English.
Length of lessons are depend on teacher discretion and the content of lessons. Key Stage One will also have a separate Phonics lesson.
Afternoon Learning
R.E. Taught for 2 1/2 hrs a week (This constitutes 10% of the children's curriculum time)
History/ Geography taught weekly
Science taught weekly
RHE taught in half hour slots
Spanish is taught in half hour slots
Computing is taught in allocated slots
P.E. is taught twice a week.
